Frequently Asked Questions

1 How do I get involved with the project?
There will be countless opportunities to get involved with the project from coming along to talks to taking part in our community excavations! All details of forthcoming events and activities are accessible through our events calendar.

2 Why are only certain areas of the coastline being investigated?
Due to CHERISH being a 5-year project the team will be looking at sites most at risk from climate change and sea-level rise. Concentrating on sites that are most at danger from being lost enables us to deploy a huge range of specialised surveying and recording techniques, allowing us to produce high quality results that can be used and viewed by everyone.

3 How can I access material and data created during the project?
All material created as part of the project can be found here.

4 When and where will the CHERISH team be working during the project?
The project team will be working within our 17 project areas across Wales and Ireland that can be viewed here. Regular updates on where our team will be working can be found on our calendar as well as on our Twitter and Facebook pages.

5 Will there be any CHERISH events near me?

6 Will the project be affected by Brexit?
Thankfully funding is secured for the duration of the project so there should be minimal disruption.
